These terms are the agreement between you and Forkhill when you buy a place on a course. They are written to be read, not to be skimmed past — please do read section 3, which is about exactly what you are and are not buying.
Forkhill Tuition, a business name of Peter O’Hagan (sole trader) ("Forkhill", "we", "us"), operated by Peter O'Hagan.
You may buy a place if you are 18 or over. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must buy the place, agree to these terms, and be the person we deal with about payment and account matters.
An account is for one named student. Please do not share sign-in details — accounts are personal, progress is personal, and a shared account produces a study plan that is wrong for everybody using it.
Forkhill is a guided practice and mastery tool. You get access to structured lessons that explain a topic, model it, and then have you practise it, with automatic marking, tapered hints, worked solutions, and a spaced review schedule that brings topics back before you forget them.
Please be clear about what is not included.
Forkhill is not a marking service. The app marks structured answers automatically — numbers, units, short answers, multiple choice, and set method checkpoints. Longer written explanations are for your own practice and reflection: they are not individually marked, and no personal teacher response or correspondence is included.
Your teacher reviews patterns across students to make the automatic marking fairer over time. That is not the same as somebody reading and replying to your work. If you want a person to look at your work directly, that is a separate paid service (section 4).
We do not promise a grade. No study tool can, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something. What we promise is that the material is accurate, the practice is well designed, and the app works.
Forkhill also offers paid teaching with a real teacher — group Masterclasses, in person or online, and one-to-one lessons. These are entirely separate and entirely optional. Prices and what is included are set out before you book anything.
Nothing in the app requires you to buy them. Your practice, your progress, your reviews, and every lesson you have access to work exactly the same whether you ever book one or not, and the app will never use how much you are struggling as a reason to sell you something.
Because you buy at a distance, consumer law gives you a cooling-off period of 14 days from the day the contract is made — under the EU Consumer Rights Directive as implemented in Irish law if you are in the Republic of Ireland, and under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 if you are in Northern Ireland.
Digital content is subject to one important exception. If you ask us to give you access during the 14 days, we will ask you to confirm two things first:
If you would rather keep the full cooling-off period, just tell us and we will hold your account until it has passed.
Email forkhilltuition@gmail.com. You do not need to give a reason. We will refund you within 14 days, using the same payment method you used.
If something is wrong with the service — it does not work, or it is not as described — you have statutory remedies, and we will put it right or refund you. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.
The lessons, questions, worked solutions and explanations are Forkhill's own teaching material and took a long time to write. They are licensed to you for your personal study only.
Please do not:
You keep ownership of what you write — your answers and your private notes are yours. You allow us to store and process them purely to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Notice.
We aim to keep Forkhill available at all times, but it may be briefly unavailable for maintenance or because of a problem with a supplier. We add to and improve courses over time; we will not remove material you rely on part-way through your access period without good reason.
We may suspend or end an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks section 7. If we do that without good cause, we will refund the unused part of your access.
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for unforeseeable loss, and — since no study tool can guarantee one — we are not responsible for the grade you achieve.
Nothing in these terms removes or limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
If we change these terms in a way that affects you, we will email account holders and update the date above. If a change materially disadvantages you, you may cancel and receive a refund of the unused part of your access.

If you are in the Republic of Ireland, these terms are governed by Irish law and you may bring proceedings in the Irish courts. If you are in Northern Ireland, they are governed by the law of Northern Ireland and you may bring proceedings in the Northern Irish courts. As a consumer you always keep the right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
